Thank you to everyone (particularly those new friends from far away) who have posted kind and welcoming comments over the past few days, it is much appreciated and very encouraging.
Well the dreaded 'virus' has kept me away from work for 3 days but hopefully I will return to a normal day tomorrow. However this enforced stay at home has meant that I have been able to monitor the avian activities in the garden from inside the house. Over the last 2 days all the usual suspects have continued to make regular appearances (Greenfinch, Blue Tit, Dunnock, House Sparrow, Robin & Collared Doves) and systematically emptied all the feeders ..... this is getting very costly! Additional visitors yesterday where Starlings, Magpies and a brief visit from a Wren.
Today we were very surprised to see two new species - a male Blackcap has been using the feeders throughout the day plus a unexpected appearance by a male Sparrowhawk. He briefly perched on top of the main feeder pole, reduced his flying weight in the usual fashion and then flew off. We have seen evidence of a Sparrowhawks visits in past years so there may be an opportunity to get a photo in the future.....but I will need to take the plunge and buy a digital SLR very soon!
Hope you are feeling better soon Frank. I'd love to see a photo of that sparrowhawk!

Sorry to hear that you've had an enforced bird watching session from the comfort of your arm chair Frank; hope you feel better soon. :D
