Must agree Frank really awfull weather down here as well, so very few chances to get out.
I have had an explosion of babies on my property and I worry about them, too! I'm glad I was out watching the Tree Swallow houses yesterday to see the babies emerge, because 2 of the 3 houses are already vacant. There's just one lonely Tree Swallow left flying over the meadow and darting in and out of one of the houses. I was reading a book about Harlequin Ducks this past winter and was surprised to learn that fish eat ducklings, too! Doesn't that beat all? It's one thing to worry about the surrounding air space! ~karen
Fantastic pictures and adorable ducks!

Now I think, I have never seen the babies at all, good on you. Excellent pictures.
I'm like Bob, I've never seen the young ones either. Hope they all survive.
I think most of the UK is stuck with that weather at the moment Frank. Tufted Duck chicks aren't a common sight here either. Great photos.
What a cute little fuzz ball. Amazing photos! It has been too hot around here to get out and look for photo ops. Since July is hotter than normal, I'm hoping August will be cooler than normal.
A sweet, beautiful find. Those little ones are absolutely adorable! I love their downy feathers. Terrific images, as always!
Mom and babies are so sweet! And I love your header!!!
SO precious and SO cute!!! Thank you for sharing these shots! BTW, it's a 106 heat index here for who knows how long...like the sound of a cool drizzle :-)
