Cloud Layers.

During a stroll this week I stood and watched the layers float above the local landscape while we waited for much needed rain to drench the soil.
Immediately behind me the formation was totally different.

The warm hot weather has been brilliant, but the rain has also been welcomed for our gardens and landscapes. Enjoy your weekend Frank

  9. I always find the ever changing cloud formations fascinating, especially when clouds at different levels move in different directions.
Did you get the much needed rain I wonder. So far this month we have only had a little over half an inch.

  10. Carol. You should do just that. I'd love to see the formations over Kentucky Carol.

stan. Thank for your visit but was your comment directed at a previous post?

Frostbite and Sunburn. Thanks for dropping by. Yes, the sky changes every blink of the eye AND in every direction.

Jann E. Interestingly I think the first sky picture I took was a 'doughnut' formation. Has a tasty feel about it..lol.

Bob B. Still waiting for a dark one to pass over and release its cargo.

Shirleyanne. Spent a lot of time looking down recently so it was good to see what is going on overhead. I think you have had much more rain than over here. I'm still watering pots like crazy!

SAPhotographs. Thanks for formally joining the "Early Birder" Joan. I think I'm slowly getting to grips with the digital gear plus the summer weather has been good for the flowers and flutters.

    Eileen. Thank you.

Midmarsh John. Me too. Still very dry here John, still waiting and waiting!
