Libellula depressa.

During my recent excursion into Kent I came across this Broad-bodied Chaser (Libellula depressa) resting in an open clearing in the woodland and it was so nice to have an uninterrupted background for once.

As usual all shots were taken hand-held with the 450D and a 70-300 lens.  FAB.

  1. Cracking shots there. I used to have the odd male visit my garden a few years ago but haven't seen any recently. I assume yours was a female by the colouring.
