Grebes at Lago di Garda.

During our recent trip to Lake Garda I was fortunate early one morning to witness a pair of Great Crested Grebes facing up to one another as a precursor to their elaborate full courtship display. Unfortunately they then swam away and dived out of view.

All these shots are cropped. (ISO200; f11; 1/400 @ 300mm and handheld using the 70-300 lens).

Linking to Saturday's Critters.
