Magpie (Pica pica).

An inquisitive Magpie (Pica pica) perched quietly very close to where my car was parked recently and obliged me with a few images.

Yeah ... I'm keeping an eye on you as well!

I wonder what the others are up to?

  5. The neighborhood magpies here are nowhere near as accomodating as this one! They are very suspicious of cameras even from a distance.

  6. A very photogenic bird, the Magpie, a shame he gets such a bad press!

  8. We used to see magpies in Eastern Washington and Eastern Oregon (not the part where we lived)...they were pretty similar to yours. Beautiful birds, but raucous -- worse than crows even.
