Today will be a difficult day when I and the rest of my family say our final farewells to PJB .... I have no idea how I will react but at least there will be the comfort of friendly faces around me and memories of better days.
So here are a few images of the birds PJB would have seen, some more frequently than others.
Grey Heron in waiting mode.
Dabchick (Little Grebe) fluffed up against the cold.
Mrs. Mallard.
Mr. Mallard in a flap.
His garden regulars ... House Sparrow, Blue Tit and Magpie
Farewell PJB ... we'll meet up again sometime .... FAB.
Those are lovely photos FAB, posted by a loving brother for a loved brother. I wish you peace. Susan

Hi Miranda. Your visit and words are much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteHi Lois. The day went well and fortunately the snow storm didn't arrive until after the event.
ReplyDeleteFrank, Words can't describe how sad I feel to know on this holiday season you have to endure such sadness. I hope and pray you will try to enjoy this holiday season for I'm sure PJB would want that. I'll say a prayer for you and your loved ones. Take care. Carol
ReplyDeleteFrank, got here a little late. Your post was a nice tribure to your brother and glad the day went well for you and your family. It's always hard to lose a family member and especially at the holidays. You are in my thoughts.

Frank, I did not know you lost a brother. I am so sorry. I have 3 brothers and I would grieve to lose any of them. I pray your heart is comforted and that your brother is at peace. I love the photos of the birds he saw, especially the "dabchick" a word I have never heard before! Thank you for all your visits to my blog.
