  6. Hi there Frank, beautiful shot :-)

Madame Alfred Carriere perhaps? I am not a rose person and only have two in my garden and that is one of them but I’ve still to see it flower yet – this is its second year. Seen it on other blogs though and that is why I chose it – I believe it has a wonderful scent and cannot wait to see it flower soon – I’ve a few flower buds :-D

I was going to join in with a pic again on Wednesday but wrote too much on Tuesday ;-) Thanks for all the comments you have been leaving on my blog – I do appreciate them. Have a great weekend :-D

  9. A beautiful Rose Frank, is it scented? Loved your previous post too with the Libellula and the Woodlark. The Orchid was lovely too.

The Dunnock photo on the post before that was stunning!

  10. Love how you captured every detail! White is such a difficult color to photograph just right.

  11. Hi "Early Birders" & thank you all for your comments which cheered me up after a difficult day at work.

In answer to the main questions:

Crista & Kelly. Yes it is a climbing rose that was rescued from work & is now very happy in my garden.

shirl. Top marks go to you for the correct ID - Mme Alfred Carriere. It has been flowering its socks off, probably because last winter I didn't do any pruning!

Lynne, Jan, JPT etc. Yes it has a lovely delicate fragrance & is sniffed very regularly.

Squirrel. Thanks for dropping in. I only used my pocket camera on auto setting & was very pleased with the result.

NW Nature Nut. Interesting conception...who knows what is ultimately possible BUT for now (unless your cross the pond) it will have to be by words & images.
    Cheers Frank
