Foggy Heron.

Another misty and foggy morning which didn't make focusing on the resident Grey Heron very easy but it was interesting to watch some its antics!

Maintaining balance OR practising the 'catch'?

Wherever you are, have a great wildlife watching weekend .... FAB.

    1. Thanks Mona. These opportunities don't crop up that often so the fog helped me to creep up on him.

    1. Hi Julie G. Yes, it offered quite a few interesting postures ... probably though nobody was watching!

  5. Lovely photos of one of my favourite birds! I particularly like the middle one.

I also enjoyed your colourful flowers on the earlier post, so cheerful :-) and the beautifully composed Little Egret too.

I hope your Dad is still progressing well Frank and that your Mum is coping, a difficult time for all I know but so nice that your Dad is so motivated and determined.

    1. Thanks Jan. Some days (not as often as I would like) the subjects just happen to pose nicely for the camera. Dad is doing ok but still has his up and down days.

  8. You did get a good look at this guy. Since they are such an ungainly shape there movements are exaggerated.

    1. Yes Red ... he was very engrossed in his excercises to worry about me sneaking up to watch the performance.

  10. Hi Frank,
Lovely, atmospheric photos. Like the one where he is perching on one leg with the other sticking out, looks like something out of Karate Kid!
