...he must be doing yoga, Frank! Love seeing him through the fog. Have a lovely weekend!
Hi Kelly. I'm amazed how they stay so still on one leg!
FAB, these are excellent shots of the GBH!! Only wish I could get that close to one of them. Have a great weekend.
Thanks Mona. These opportunities don't crop up that often so the fog helped me to creep up on him.
Been foggy here too Frank. Plays havoc with the auto focus lolGreat catches despite the weather.
Cheers Keith. Always something to challenge the basic amateur!!
these are great! :)
Frank, I really like the effect of the fog. Beautiful! Love the comical heron dance. Great series!
Hi Julie G. Yes, it offered quite a few interesting postures ... probably though nobody was watching!
Lovely photos of one of my favourite birds! I particularly like the middle one.I also enjoyed your colourful flowers on the earlier post, so cheerful :-) and the beautifully composed Little Egret too.I hope your Dad is still progressing well Frank and that your Mum is coping, a difficult time for all I know but so nice that your Dad is so motivated and determined.
Thanks Jan. Some days (not as often as I would like) the subjects just happen to pose nicely for the camera. Dad is doing ok but still has his up and down days.
Lovely misty shots Frank.
Thanks Roy. Not the conditions I would want every day!
I like the mood and the bird yoga.
You did get a good look at this guy. Since they are such an ungainly shape there movements are exaggerated.
Yes Red ... he was very engrossed in his excercises to worry about me sneaking up to watch the performance.
enjoyed your lovely grey heron in the fog photos
Hi Frank,Lovely, atmospheric photos. Like the one where he is perching on one leg with the other sticking out, looks like something out of Karate Kid!JFollow me at HEDGELAND TALES
Cheers John. Yeah ... I remember that film as well .. lol.
Looks great, Nicely done, Mike.
Appreciate the compliment Mike.
Herons have so much character - inscrutible comes to mind. You've caught him perfectly and I love the misty backgrounds.
Cheers Ann. You never know what position they will adopt next .. lol.
Great shots Frank, the lighting is superb :-)
Thanks Alan .. certainly tested the focusing!!
I just love herons, even through the fog!! You captured some great images here, Frank. ~karen
