Mirror Image.

During a walk on Thursday, for once in bright sunshine, I came across this Grey Heron patiently stalking for a snack in small pool. With the dappled light on the water I thought it might make a decent subject for this weeks edition of  Weekend Reflections.

Little Egret.

A few images of Little Egret (Egretta garzetta) taken during a couple of recent coastal visits around Langstone Harbour.

They are fascinating to watch as they stealthily walk their fishing patch often shaking their totally immersed yellow feet to disturb likely prey.

Total concentration as its eyes search for a possible snack above the very still water.

I included these last two shots as I liked the way the ripples it created broke up its reflection. FAB.

Still Waters.

While scanning a coastal reed bed for a of a glimpse of a Bearded Reedling I thought this image might qualify for inclusion in today's edition of Good Fences hosted by TexWisGirl and Weekend Reflections.

Blue Skies.

We have experienced blue skies and ramped up temperatures for a few days followed by the start of a series of electrical storms overnight with more on the way. I'm linking to Weekend Reflections and SkyWatch Friday with a sample of the views while I've been out in the sunshine recently.

Riverside Reflections.

A few images taken during recent leisurely strolls alongside the River Wey Navigation.

And finally the rusty iron bridge that usually indicates the end of my walk and has featured in quite a few posts over the years. It is also a good spot to sit and watch for Banded Demoiselles.

Wherever you are I hope you have a great wildlife watching weekend. The forecast here is for heavy rain tomorrow but should be better on Sunday .... I'll have to wait and see.  FAB.
