We had Carolina Wrens create a nest at our front door a few weeks ago, and eventually raised 5 young. However, as the days were of egg laying, the Cowbirds tried to get to the door and basket to lay an egg and we did not allow them the opportunity this season~Mary Howell Cromerhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05473298562829352582noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2906944037951213307.post-55444701217570145942013-07-17T16:45:37.775+01:002013-07-17T16:45:37.775+01:00Beautifully illustrated, and highly interesting po...Beautifully illustrated, and highly interesting post, Frank. Great post and I see this happening here between the Koel (cuckoo) and it's foster Mum, the Little Wattlebird. Your Dunnock though is quite a bit tinier than the wattlebird it seems. I can't help but feel quite anxious for the foster Mum and all her duties to keep up with the feeding routines for these bigger drop-insCarole M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/13261384312136535762noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2906944037951213307.post-70455470304292165502013-07-16T20:10:41.511+01:002013-07-16T20:10:41.511+01:00what a wonderful image of the Dunnock feeding the ...what a wonderful image of the Dunnock feeding the juvenile, a wonderful twist on nature.

Great postDavehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/18161477971524343938noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2906944037951213307.post-23914434941253920822013-07-16T19:23:31.430+01:002013-07-16T19:23:31.430+01:00Great juvvie Cuckoo shots Frank you must be real p...Great juvvie Cuckoo shots Frank you must be real pleased with them.
Again lovely set.Montshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15871945439055671665noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2906944037951213307.post-43738133805352607062013-07-16T19:23:01.041+01:002013-07-16T19:23:01.041+01:00Brilliant photos Frank and the story.Brilliant photos Frank and the story.Bob Bushellhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07819577478571292055noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2906944037951213307.post-25382632113926393542013-07-16T17:59:36.526+01:002013-07-16T17:59:36.526+01:00Great post and images Frank.
